The end of the month brings us some great national and local acts, here is a round-up of our favorites
Monday, November 26th
Lo-fi hero Mac DeMarco plays a sold-out solo set at the Music Box Village.
Tuesday, November 27th
Acclaimed drummer Stanton Moore of Galactic plays an intimate set with the Stanton Moore Trio at Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro.
Wednesday, November 28th
Every Wednesday, Santos–the Decatur Street sister-bar to the LGD’s notorious Saint–hosts Swamp Moves with Russel Welch’s Hot Quartet providing gypsy swing sounds meant for dancing.
If you have kiddos in tow, you’d rather a night on the early side, or you just LOVE SCIENCE, the Catahoula Hotel is hosting an interactive Happy Hour for STEM non-profit Electric Girls, followed by a screening of Hidden Figures. Circuit-building exercises for younger guests will be provided by Electric Girls.
Thursday, November 29th
Patterson Hood of the alt-country band Drive By Truckers plays a solo set at One Eyed Jacks.
Friday, November 30th
Self-described “living jukebox” The Essentials host an evening of soul covers from the 50s-70s at Downtown haunt, Siberia.
Saturday, December 1st
Warm up on the first day of December with grooving dance night Hustle by DJ Soul Sister at Three Keys Nola in the Ace Hotel.
Sunday, December 2nd
Fuzzy Tulsa-based band Broncho headlines a show at Gasa Gasa with Scorpedos.
