There’s a lot happening around the city, even in the dog days of summer! Here are a few of our picks for the week.
Carly Rae Jepsen at The Fillmore: Tuesday, July 30th
Carly Rae is still churning out glimmering pop gems on 2019’s Dedicated. We’re pretty dang sure she’ll still play Call Me Maybe tonight though. We’d love to get you ready to say “I Really Like You” with some Pisco Sours.
Satchmo Summerfest at The New Orleans Jazz Museum: Friday, August 2nd – Sunday, August 4th
Like an oasis in the desert, there is an affordable music festival during August in New Orleans. The very reasonably priced Satchmo Summerfest is only $6 for daily admission. The Fest started in 2001 as a one-time tribute to Louis Armstrong on his 100th birthday, but came back again and again due to popular demand.
If you’re on your phone, check out this curated, Satchmo inspired itinerary from UpJaunt.
Hancock Whitney White Linen Night: Saturday, August 3rd
White Linen Night is an annual arts block party just a few minutes walk from the Catahoula, with immersive gallery showings, live art and music. Get a good base for an evening of drinking with 50 cent dumpling happy hour at Piscobar. Yep, even on a Saturday.
