Between Red Dress Run, Dirty Linen Night and the Saints Preseason Kick-Off, this weekend is looking absolutely packed with great New Orleans events.

Vikings at Saints Preseason Game, Mercedes-Benz Superdome at 7pm: Friday, August 9th

Our beloved New Orleans Saints will be starting this preseason off with a favorable match against the Minnesota Vikings.

Pre-gaming? Stop by Piscobar for 4-7pm happy hour and FREE vegan Jell-O shots for those in Saints gear. We’ll also be showing the game on a big screen.

Red Dress Run, race starts at Crescent Park at 11:30am: Saturday, August 10th

Presented by our local chapter of the Hash House Harriers, the Red Dress Run is a for-charity run that has evolved into an all-day affair with red clad revelers–runners and non-runners alike–on display into the evening in the French Quarter.

Dirty Linen Night, Royal Street in the French Quarter: Saturday, August 10th

More dressed down and a week later than White Linen Night, Dirty Linen takes place along Royal Street in the French Quarter. The conceit behind the name is that you wear your whites from the week prior, so hey, great excuse not to do laundry this week.

NOLA Salsa Bachata Festival: Friday, August 9th – Sunday August 11th

After a weekend of football, beer, art, and wine, it’s probably time to do something active. The New Orleans Salsa Bachata Festival is taking place at The Crowne Plaza all weekend and has a litany of workshops to choose from. After you’ve learned some basic salsa moves, cool off with a Bananas Foster Bao (stuffed with Nadamoo ice cream and 100% vegan!) from Piscobar Kitchen.
